Ilkley Dynamo 6 Yeadon Westfield 0

Ilkley Dynamo recorded their fifth successive win to maintain top spot in the Premier Division of after a comprehensive victory against old rivals Yeadon Westfield.

Both teams were founder members of the competition back in 1976 and they had not met in a league match for over ten years.

With the visitors making little impact, the home side always looked dangerous and Danny Bott opened the scoring with a superbly-taken free kick after 15 minutes.

Dynamo had plenty of possession and chances began to mount up. A goal from Phil Thommesen and another from Simon Walker gave Dynamo a 3-0 lead on the hour.

Some tireless running from Liam Blenkhorn and a notable contribution from Ollie Blair ensured the home side dominated with a well organised midfield. Dynamo did most of the attacking and a second goal from the impressive Bott and two goals from Danny Henderson, taking his tally this season to nine, helped to maintain the home side's fluent run of form.

Solid defending by both Darren Munday and Sam Jacomb, the centre backs, plus an outstanding penalty save late in the game by goalkeeper Shane Etherington helped to keep a cleansheet for only the second time this season.
