ALISON Kinloch (Shibden Cycling Club) has claimed another podium finish.

The Burley-in-Wharfedale resident finished second in the women’s 45 category at the National Cyclo-Cross Championships at the Westmorland County Showground last weekend.

Her runner-up berth at Milnthorpe in Cumbria followed her second place in the World Masters Championship at Ipswich in November in what has been a consistent winter as she also won the Yorkshire Points Series.

Kinloch finished in 44min 2sec in the mud last weekend, which was also good enough for third place overall in the women’s 40 category.

Just missing out on the podium was Bramhope’s Bjorn Koerdt (Shibden Cycling Club), who was fourth in the men’s under-23 race in 54min 58sec.

Ilkley’s Ethan Whiteside (Prologue Racing Team) was ninth in the same race, while his sister Freya was 11th in the junior women’s race in 45min 2sec.
