A SHORTAGE of match officials meant two Wharfedale teams, Pool AFC and Otley Town, could not play their scheduled matches last Saturday.
Otley Town was to host Headingley and Pool were at home to Robin Hood Athletic had to be postponed as the West Yorkshire League could not supply three officials for the Premier Division games.
Pool secretary Peter Wilkinson said the club were informed last week there could be a shortage and the club were officially notified last Thursday.
“The league did their best in a difficult situation,” he said. “There were a lot of cup in other leagues.”
