Knaresborough Town 5 Pool 1
RECENT signing Jack Smith's first game for Pool proved to be short lived.
He was shown a red card in the opening minutes of Saturday's West Yorkshire League Premier Division game when the referee ruled that he had denied a Knaresborough forward a scoring opportunity.
Pool were incensed by the decision as they had four defenders around the attacker at the time.
Pool's dismay at the official's performance surfaced again at the start of the second half when they stopped for a hand ball while a Knaresborough player lashed a long shot into the net for the first goal.
Knaresborough scored twice more before a powerful shot into the roof of the net by Harvey Atkinson gave Pool some hope.
In the closing stages the ten men tired and Knaresborough netted twice more.
