VANARAMA National League new boys Guiseley have completed the signing of former Accrington Stanley player Rob Atkinson.
The 28-year-old, who has featured regularly during the Lions' pre-season preparations, will add further quality to the centre of Mark Bower's defence, following the close-season signing of Adam Lockwood.
Atkinson, who has also featured for Barnsley and Grimsby Town, won non-league's top tier while on loan at Fleetwood Town, while he has also been on loan with Scarborough and FC Halifax Town.
Bower said: "We're delighted to get Rob signed up and I'm confident he will add extra quality and experience to our defence.
"He's someone I've wanted to bring in since early on in pre-season and, like Locky, he'll provide a calm head for us at the back this season."
