A CAMPAIGN to install more defibrillators in Otley is celebrating another success.

Town Councillor Peter Jackson (Lib Dem, Ashfield) has been spearheading the push to ensure the town has plenty of the life-saving devices.

The latest addition has been installed outside the Westbourne Spice restaurant, on Bradford Road, thanks to local businesswoman Dianne Moore, of Otley Kids Club, who covered all the costs.

Cllr Jackson, whose campaign has so far raised more than £22,000 for defibrillators in Otley, said: "I am delighted and grateful to Dianne for the very generous donation of this defibrillator.

"Dianne has been very supportive in my campaign so I was overwhelmed when she offered to purchase one on behalf of Otley Kids Clubs, which offers pre and after school care for children aged three to 11 for several schools in Otley and the surrounding area.

"This brings my campaign total to 14 defibrillators installed in Otley, and the campaign will continue to run in association with Community Public Access Defibrillators."

Anyone interested in contributing towards the purchase of a new defibrillator for the town, or the maintenance costs of an existing device, is asked to contact Cllr Jackson on 07799 465070.
