MENSTON Arts Club held their second exhibition of the year on November 19 and 20, to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
Many people travelled to the exhibition both locally and from further afield and all visitors were welcomed with a request to vote for their favourite painting in the exhibition. A lot of people said it was impossible and a few wanted to vote for more than one painting. The winner, by the closest of margins was Moon Light by Judy Illingworth.
The craft stall was, as usual very popular with many club members contributing jewellery, cards, and other crafts. The cake stall sold out very quickly and the cafe was always busy selling cakes, lunches and beverages throughout the whole exhibition.
The members will now start concentrating on the next exhibition on May 13 and 14, 2017. Again this will be held in the Kirklands Community centre in Menston, and all will be welcome.
