HORSFORTH is gearing up for its second Walk of Art this weekend.

The free festival, which was launched last year, will take place again in the town on July 2 and 3.

The event will include a host of attractions and activities, with painters, ceramists, authors and musicians sharing their creativity through open sheds, garages and community venues.

It will also feature a light and music show, a travelling gig, ‘hide and seek a hedgehog’, a children’s cinema and ‘stampede of horses’.

Music was an important part of last year’s festival, and is poised to play an even bigger role this year.

The weekend extravaganza will be launched at 7pm on Friday with a light display to classical music and a family-friendly disco outside St Margaret’s Church.

The High Street Galleries will exhibit work from more than 25 artists. The Walk of Art will have 100 official stops on the map with free art exhibitions and hands on activities for all the family. It will also feature 50 decorated horses.
