LOCAL politicians joined a mass tidy-up in Otley last weekend.
The event, run by Otley in Bloom and Otley Town Council on Saturday, April 23, saw volunteers picking litter along the route of this weekend's Tour de Yorkshire.
Town Councillor Ray Georgeson (Lib Dem, Danefield), ward Councillor Colin Campbell (Lib Dem, Otley & Yeadon) and Lib Dem Otley and Yeadon candidate for the Leeds City Council elections, Sandy Lay, were among those taking part.
Cllr Campbell said: "I would like to thank everyone who gave up their time for the benefit of the town, and say a special thank you to the team from Leeds Cleansing, who provided logistical support."
