A PARLIAMENTARY candidate and a team of volunteers went to Leeds Trinity University on National Voter Registration Day, to encourage people to sign up to vote.
Jamie Hanley, Labour Parliamentary candidate for Pudsey, said: “There was a lot of interest in our Voter Registration Day campaign and one person a minute completed the forms.
“Many did not know about the changes to the voter registration system which now forces everyone to register individually.
“It is still not too late to register.”
