Rotarians in Otley are celebrating winning a top award for their environmental improvement work.

The Rotary Club of Otley Chevin, after previously taking bronze and silver, has gone one better by scooping an Eco Gold Award.

The accolade was awarded in recognition of the club's recent environmental projects, which have included holding mass litter-picks and bulb planting events and getting Otley bypass renamed Rotary Way.

Environmental officer Bryan Kitching was presented with the award last week.
