Three NHS clinical commissioning groups are working to help vulnerable people in the Bradford District and Craven stay warm this winter.
The Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, Bradford City and Bradford Districts CCGs have invested £150,000 to support the Warm Homes Health Partnership work.
The project gives people cold weather information, provides practical support and gets neighbours to help each other.
The work is also funding the First Contact scheme which signposts people to information, advice and services to help them stay safe, healthy and independent in winter.
From help to pay for fuel bills and debt advice to warm clothing, bedding or a food parcel, the scheme offers a range of support.
First Contact is co-ordinated by the Carers’ Resource charity, which circulates forms across the district, using a simple checklist to highlight people’s needs and signpost them to the right support.
People can pick up a form and find out how they can get help or complete the form online at: carersresource.org/first-contact.
