Schoolchildren recently gathered a Harvest Festival ‘crop’ of toys to help sick children in hospital.
Pupils at the Froebelian School in Horsforth took in gifts to the harvest assembly in support of the Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal.
The charity raises funds to help make children’s stays in hospital less traumatic by providing toys, books and games for wards and waiting areas.
Pupils also made ‘get well’ cards for general distribution at the hospital.
LCH fundraising co-ordinator, Jackie Cross, said: “I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the children and parents at this lovely school.”
Headmaster, John Tranmer, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer support to such a deserving charity. We hope to be able to make some small difference to what can be a very anxious time for children ill in hospital.”
