Police are clamping down on anti-social behaviour in Yeadon after reports of problems on the High Street and in the Westfield and Greenlea areas.

Officers have been patrolling the areas and have spoken to local people asking them to report any anti-social behaviour.

A neighbourhood policing team meeting will take place in Yeadon Town Hall from 7 to 8pm, on Thursday, September 9. Anti-social behaviour on High Street, and on the Greenlea/ Westfield estates has been police priority, along with speeding on Harrogate Road between the airport and Green Lane.

Officers have been clamping down on speeding in the area. Twenty vehicles were found to be breaking the speed limit on Cemetery Road when an anti-speeding device was deployed on August 27.

Police have also been patrolling the airport tunnel where 17 drivers have been given a fixed penalty ticket or a summons for speeding.
