Pirates raided Menston Primary School at this year’s summer fair, adorning a playground ship with decorations and organising an afternoon of swashbuckling events.
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed fun and games based on the movie trilogy Pirates of the Caribbean, taking part in competitions such as a treasure hunt and tug of war.
The fair, organised by St John’s Parish Church, was officially opened by former Bradford City footballer and village resident John Hendrie.
Chairman of the organising committee Edmund Conybeare said: “It was just a great atmosphere. We’ve had really nice feedback from everybody.”
