AIREBOROUGH Civic Society is holding a community meeting at Rawdon Community Library on Tuesday, March 28 at 7.30pm.
Residents of Guiseley, Rawdon and Yeadon are invited to attend to discuss and help plan how to make the area a better place to live.
The Civic Society consists of volunteers who want to make a positive difference to the environment.
Chairman Clive Woods said: “Come along to our meeting and find out what we do and bring your own ideas and concerns. We hope to have a Leeds City Councillor attending to update members and give advice."
The Civic Society is concerned about local issues including protecting the green belt, conservation areas and heritage buildings, congestion on local roads and parking, litter, improving local shopping areas and planting flowers, improving bus services and planning matters.
The civic society is organising a litter clean up in early April. To suggest parts of Aireborough which would benefit email: clivewoods@hotmail.com.
