A RUNNER from Otley, raising awareness and donations for Otley Food Bank, is set to take on the next leg of his run series.
Danny Cooney, who works for Sainsbury's, will be running in Murcia, Costa Calida, Spain, on Sunday, February 5, when there is a 10k and half marathon.
He isn't seeking sponsorship but instead is encouraging people to donate to Otley Food Bank.
Danny said: "Thank you to every single one of you who has donated and thought about others struggling with the cost of living crisis. It has helped out many families, couples and individuals and made a big difference especially over Christmas. Any additional winter staples such as tinned food, soup etc would be greatly appreciated as the ongoing support is still needed by so many."
As well as a collection point at Sainsbury's, donations to the food bank can be made at any official collection point in town including Waitrose, the Core and most Churches.
