OTLEY'S Friday market has been cancelled due to high winds.
Leeds Markets announced the decision on the morning of Friday, January 29, when they said the Saturday, January 30 market would also be called off "due to predicted high wind speeds for Otley this weekend."
They have since reversed the Saturday decision, however, posting on Twitter that: "As the predicted wind speeds for tomorrow have now decreased, we have taken the decision to operate Otley market tomorrow."
Winds of up to 80mph, along with heavy rain, has been experienced in parts of Yorkshire as Storm Gertrude continues to cause disruption across the UK, especially in Scotland.
