FOUR young carers deserve to be feeling a cut above the rest after being pampered at an Ilkley salon.
Saks Salon’s owner Joseph Ohana and stylist Hayley Barnes kindly treated the girls to a complimentary cut and blow dry.
Young Carer Workers Susan Arkell and Natalie Baxter, of Carers’ Resource, a Bradford and Skipton charity which supports carers, also rolled up their sleeves to help out with hair washing and said it was an enjoyable experience all round.
Susan said: “It was such a generous gift from Joseph and the girls felt amazing.
“Young carers are under pressure looking after family members, and being able to take time out to be pampered is a wonderful treat.”
The girls were Sophie Ling, who goes to Skipton Girls High School; Cerys Kerswell-Brady, a pupil at Upper Wharfedale School; and Chloe Shaw and Jenni Barker, from Skipton Academy.
