A WOMEN’S voice choir which started in Otley four years ago is coming to Ilkley after Easter.

Rehearsals for Sally’s Army will be held in the Clarke Foley Centre, on Cunliffe Road, from 8pm to 9pm on Tuesday evenings, starting on Tuesday April 21.

Music director, Sally Egan said: “Haven’t sung in a choir since school but love singing? Come along and try out a Sally’s Army rehearsal. There are definitely no auditions and everyone is welcome, whether you can read music or not.

She added: “We sing Carole King, medieval songs and everything in between. There are no subscriptions either, just turn up when you can to make music and new friends in a relaxed environment, £5 per session and the first session you come to is free.”

The choir started with 12 singers and there are now nearly 100 on the books, although not everyone attends every week.
