STAFF at the Co-op in Addingham got some unprecedented help in the run-up to the busy Easter period when their president worked in-store for a day.
Lesley Reznicek, from Gargrave, president of the Co-operative Council worked in store for a day stacking shelves and packing customers’ bags.
She said: “The Addingham team like all store staff work extremely hard and so I was delighted that I was able to lend a hand at a particularly busy period of the year.
“The members’ council represents a new chapter in the development of co-operative democracy. It is an opportunity for both the business and the council to work together to ensure that our members are at the heart of everything that we do. That is why spending a day in store with our members and customers was so important for me.”
