AN EIGHTEEN-year-old has been disqualified for driving for 18 months after being caught drink driving on Skipton Road in Ilkley.
Isaac Johnston, of Harewood House, Skipton Road, Steeton, was stopped when driving a Volkswagen Polo in Ilkley on March 6, and a breath test revealed he was almost two times over the legal limit. Johnston was fined £110, plus a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 prosecution costs, by Bradford and Keighley Magistrates last Tuesday.
He attended the hearing and admitted the charge. Magistrates took into account his guilty plea. They disqualified him for driving for 18 months, to be reduced by 18 weeks on successful completion of a Secretary of State-approved course.
