A former Prince Henry’s School pupil has won a place in the final of Miss Galaxy England 2014.
Alexandra Homayoonpoor, 24, of Otley, won the title of Miss West Yorkshire 2013 and has now been selected as Miss Yorkshire Dales Galaxy 2014.
Sponsored by Bliss Beauty Spa and Aire Vocational Training Ltd, Alexandra will compete in the grand final in March.
Alexandra has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism Studies from the University of Sheffield, a master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from the University of Leeds and now works as an account executive at Hatch Communications in Otley.
Alexandra said: “I’m extremely proud of myself for having won another title. Competing in pageants is not only a fun and glamorous experience in which you get to represent your region, it’s also a brilliant chance to inspire others and do charity work.
“I can’t thank my sponsors enough for their support. In different ways, they both want to give their clients a feeling of confidence – I strongly believe confidence is the key to achievement.”
The final will be held in March 2014 at Park Hall Hotel, Lancashire.
The winner will travel to the USA with contestants from all over the world, to compete in the Miss Galaxy International final, which will be held in the summer of 2014.
