Bradford Disability Services’ chairman Peter Kay, is to appear at Ilkley Literature Festival, raising the profile of his book, A Pennine Odyssey, which raises funds for disabled singing groups run by the charity.

See Sing From The Heart – a performance group of people with learning disabilities and – All Aloud – a sing for fun group of carers and disabled people – perform alongside Peter.

The book is being sold to support the two singing groups, which give carers and disabled people a chance to express themselves and explore the joy of music and singing.

On Saturday, Mr Kay will be performing at the Ilkley Literature Festival alongside the two singing groups. His performance starts at 7.30pm and is a free event to anyone wanting to attend, but for carers and disabled people, Bradford Disability Services are setting off in style. There will be a coach from Bradford/Shipley areas and a fish and chip supper on the way, completely free of charge. There are a few places left on this trip, so anyone interested should call.

The event is at Church House, next to the Parish Church in Ilkley, and the venue is fully accessible to everyone.
