CANTORES Olicanae choir invite you to An Evening with Bach and Friends on Saturday, April 1 at 7.30pm in St Margaret’s Church, Queen’s Road, Ilkley.
This concert features music chosen from a treasure trove of rich and glorious music from the Lutheran era. Sleepers Wake and Jesu Joy of Man’s desiring are widely regarded as two of Bach’s most mature and popular cantatas. Zadok the Priest has been sung at the coronation of every British monarch and has become recognised as a British patriotic anthem. Enjoy these, and more, in a celebration of a Golden Age of German music!
Rory Johnston is the Musical Director and Alan Horsey the organist. The soloists are Molly Toolan-Kerr (soprano), Philip O’Connor (tenor) and Peter Edge (bass).
