WE'VE gone all Western from October 14 to 20, with a pair of films dedicated to the cause of seeking righteousness and overthrowing the oppressive forces of greed and cruelty. We do love an old fashioned good triumphing over evil story and Hell or High Water and The Magnificent Seven certainly fit the bill.

A mighty fifty-plus years since the Steve McQueen et al classic, The Magnificent Seven is well and truly revamped, with a brilliantly gritty cast. The village of Rose Creek is being terrorised by the tyrannical Bogue. So villager Emma Cullen enlists the help of bounty hunter Sam Chisolm to help end Bogue's vicious reign, but they're going to need numbers: and that number is seven.

Hell or High Water brings the Western genre into the modern day, with brothers Toby and Tanner taking back what is rightfully theirs by stealing from the banks that forced foreclosure on their family farm. But Texas Ranger Marcus, only a few weeks from retirement, is determined that his fire is still raging by catching the two fugitives.

And for something a little different, we have Pedro Almodóvar’s latest and arguably greatest film Julieta. This Spanish drama follows the eponymous mother as she recounts her life and the events that led up to her daughter's disappearance. Will there be a chance for Julieta to reunite with her estranged child?

It's a hat trick! We've got Bridget Jones's Baby for another week, so catch it while you still can.

Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about the little ones, for we have Kubo and the Two Strings over the weekend. Kubo tells stories using magic to his village, but after accidentally unleashing evil spirits, he must team up with new friends to battle monsters in order to save his family.

Finally, Kid's Club brings back Pixar favourite The Incredibles, the exceptional family with super powers who have to stop their enemy Syndrome from destroying mankind as we know it. So take a seat ladies and gentleman: it's Showtime!
