THE Jiving Lindy Hoppers and the Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra will be swinging across the stage at St George’s Hall on Saturday, March 21.
Swinging At The Cotton Club is an action-packed show celebrating the music, dance and songs of the famous New York City nightclub. Performances by Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Fats Waller would have had the club swinging — while dancers such as Bojangles Robinson and the Nicholas Brothers lit up the stage. The show features vocalist Marlene Hill and compere/vocalist Megs Etherington.
Tickets: call (01274) 432000.
