Chris Carver of Otley Athletic Club will be bidding for international honours this weekend.
He is running for England in the Commonwealth 24 hour running Championships in Llandudno, Wales.
This will be his fourth international vest in two years.
A minor knee injury at the start of this year limited his running but since Easter he has really stepped up the training and clocking up more than 150 miles in a single day for the first time. Such a distance could see him return home with medals in both the individual and the team event.
Chris says; “This won’t be an easy task but I know it’s achievable given the right conditions. “My training, especially in August went exceptionally well, and culminated with a training week of well over 35 hours which included running, cycling and strength training.”
