GUISELEY remain 5th in the Northern Premier Division after a comfortable 2-0 victory at Basford United on Tuesday evening.
A Will Longbottom first-half was enough for the Lions to take home all three points.
The visitors did have to wait until the 37th minute to break the deadlock, however, as Longbottom stretched to poke home a John Lufudu cross to get his first of the game.
And his second goal of the contest arrived on the stroke of half-time, when he raced clear before calmly finishing past Basford goalkeeper Saul Deeney.
The Lions were in cruise control in the second half as they looked to see the game out for a valuable three points, and that’s exactly what they did.
Guiseley’s Emirates FA Cup fourth round qualifying opponents were also confirmed following last night’s replay at Aggborough.
The Lions will now travel to Kidderminster Harriers on 12 October.
