YARNBURY came close to promotion from Counties Two Yorkshire last season, and they showed there was no hangover from missing out on Saturday.
Their season opener was at home to Baildon, and despite falling behind to an early penalty and having a player sent to the sin-bin, they had edged 5-3 in front by half-time.
And Yarnbury dominated the game in the second half, coming on strong to claim an 18-3 victory.
It sets them up nicely for this Saturday's league game at Bramley Phoenix.
