GUISELEY have announced the departures of a further two players after being relegated from the National League North.

Prince Ekpolo has signed on with AFC Telford United on a year deal. The 28-year old former Guiseley midfielder becomes Telford's first new summer signing ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. The powerhouse went on to make 35 appearance for the Lions last season.

Guiseley also confirmed yesterday afternoon that Dom Tear has departed the club after he rejected the club's offer of re-engagement.

Through Guiseley's Twitter they explained that the youngster: "wished to play at the highest level possible."

It comes after the news that following the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign, Guiseley confirmed that five players returned to their parent clubs.

Owen Mason, Thierry Latty-Fairweather, James Gale, Scott McLean and Scott Moloney made the returns.

It's not all doom and gloom for Guiseley though, as they announced the signing of George Smith from Darlington FC last week, whilst also announcing an extension to Adam Haw's contract.

The young star became the first player to sign a new contract following the appointment of his Academy coach Danny Ellis as the club's new manager.

Haw, 20, is a product of the Guiseley Academy and he made his Guiseley AFC first team debut in the Covid hit 2020-21 season in which he made one start in National League North and had six further appearances from the subs bench.
