THE National League North relegation battle is going to the wire, with two of Bradford (Park Avenue)'s closest rivals involved.

Avenue secured their safety a few weeks ago, and there is only one relegation spot this term.

But any one of Farsley Celtic, AFC Telford United or Guiseley could still fill it.

The latter currently occupy that spot, and having been thumped 3-0 at Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, they knew they would probably need to beat Spennymoor Town yesterday to have a chance of staying up.

But they did just that, with Kaine Felix scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory.

That puts Guiseley on 35 points, one behind Telford, who drew with Boston United and Southport over the weekend.

Farsley are two points ahead of Guiseley, having lost 2-0 to York City on Saturday, but then grabbing a crucial point at Darlington yesterday in a 1-1 draw.

The final round of fixtures is on Saturday, with Farsley hosting Boston, Telford entertaining York, and Guiseley at Alfreton Town.
