THIS was a game between two of the form teams from Division One, Brighouse having won four out of the last five and Otley Town three out of the last four.
Both are in with a shout of promotion. The first half belonged to Brighouse in terms of possession but the best chances fell to Otley. Harry Hawkins shot wide with the goal at his mercy and Mark McGee had an opportunity when sent clear by Andy Howland, though in fairness he was stretching to get his shot away.
Brighouse might have scored at the other end when an almighty melee was eventually cleared by Otley and keeper Wayne Mahomet had to be alert making a couple of good saves. Half time arrived with the scores level which was a fair reflection.
