GUISELEY'S young striker Josh Stones continues to shine within the English Schools Under-18s set up and according to some national newspapers is being tracked by Football League clubs aplenty.

Guiseley AFC are very proud of the continued selection of Josh and his Guiseley Academy strike partner Jakub Hebda in the English Schools set up and having played in the warm up games for the upcoming inspiresport Centenary Shield games.

These will be played against Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales. All will be broadcast live by the BBC and England's campaign kicks-off with the game against Northern Ireland in Belfast on March 25th.

Josh,18, and Jakub, 17, have been involved in warm up games against the RAF, Crystal Palace, Notts County and the Independent Schools FA as well as a four day training camp at St George's Park.

England captain Josh has regularly found the net scoring twice before half-time in the 3-3 draw with the Independent Schools FA and in the 4-1 win over the RAF and once in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace Academy.

He has netted 21 goals in 14 games for Guiseley Academy this season as they challenge for the National League Academy U-19 Northern Division title. They are currently in second place three points behind Solihull Moors who they have yet to play twice. Josh scored his first senior goal for Guiseley's first team, the winner against Telford.

The game against the ISFA, pupils from the country's top private schools and public schools, was their last warm-up game before the full internationals and it was played at the magnificent Shrewsbury School.

The England v Scotland game will be played at Spennymoor Town on Friday, 1st April, kicking off at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased on the Spennymoor Town FC website. Following this game the English side will travel south to Eastleigh FC in Hampshire for their fixture v the Republic of Ireland on Friday, 8th April. This is the home of the ESFA’s principle partner Utilita and the event will feature lots of engaging activities for spectators to get involved in pre and post game. Tickets for this fixture can be purchased on the Eastleigh FC website.

All of the inspiresport Centenary Shield matches will be shown live across BBC Sport’s website and app and will be available on iPlayer. The two England home fixtures at Spennymoor and Eastleigh will also be streamed live on the ESFA’s YouTube channel ESFA
