YARNBURY Rugby Club have reached another milestone in 2022- the year which will see the club celebrate their 150th birthday.

The club was established in 1872, and they have gone on to cement their place as one of the largest and friendliest rugby union clubs in Yorkshire, with five men's teams, a women's team and a thriving junior's section.

The excitement has only just begun for the Horsforth based side. An astonishing amount of 30+ players attended the men's senior sessions prior to Christmas to enhance belief that the game is still going strong in the area, and it's a testament of what is to come in 2022.

The year will see a number of celebrations, and via the club's Twitter they said: " It's a very exciting year as we start our year long celebration of 150 years of Yarnbury. Make sure to Keep up to date with all plans on our socials as there are many plans in the pipeline ready to celebrate our fantastic club."

To kickstart the start, Yarnbury return to action this Saturday when they host Wheatley Hills. They will be hoping to return with a bang, having lost their previous fixtures.
