MICHAEL Rhodes has stood down as president of Otley Cricket Club, having been in the post for 29 years.
He was replaced at the club’s annual meeting by former chairman Chris Smith, with Alex Atkinson stepping into the chairman’s seat.
Atkinson is also at the helm of a vibrant junior coaching system.
Toby Gray and David Brady were re-elected as club secretary and treasurer respectively.
The meeting stood to honour members who had lost their lives in the preceding 12 months, including former captain Sam Smith, who was knocked down and killed recently. Rhodes leaves on great terms.
