GUISELEY have had to deal with a number of complications regarding their second round FA Trophy tie at Ashton United.
The game was originally due to take place on Saturday (27) but the continued inclement weather in Greater Manchester, had caused the tie to be postponed until Tuesday evening (30).
Guiseley were scheduled to play AFC Telford United on that evening in the league, however because of the re-arranged FA Trophy tie, that will also be re-arranged to a later date (December 21).
It got worse for Guiseley as the conditions once more forced the Ashton fixture to be rearranged to Wednesday evening (December 1), and with the approval of the FA the following plan was put in place in order for the tie to be played within the postponement window.
Following a pitch inspection, the pitch was finally deemed as safe and the game goes ahead this evening.
