GUISELEY have announced that academy striker Josh Stones has signed first team forms following an impressive start to the season.

The 17 year-old forward has scored nine goals in his five appearances for the Young Lions so far this season.

Stones, who is in his second year with the club, has been training with the first team and featured in last season’s in house training game between two Guiseley X1’s. He will be eligible to feature in Saturday’s Vanarama National League North trip to Darlington after catching the eye of Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill.

This news comes after five U19 players were named on the team sheet on Saturday with Oli Metcalfe making his full home debut and Lewis Hey clocking up another 90 first team minutes.

The youngster follows in the footsteps of Ollie Brown who also made his senior debut this season alongside Hagie Damba and Chuk Molokwu who have been named on the bench.
