OTLEY Cricket Club have signed a new lease with Leeds City Council, safeguarding the use of their Cross Green headquarters for cricket until at least 2058.
Local solicitors Newstead and Walker and Leeds-based surveyors Carter Towler have negotiated the lease as the existing one only had seven years to run.
Any future grant applications would have been inhibited by the existing lease running close to its full term.
Plans for Otley Cricket Club include new net facilities, which are in the early stages of development.
