POOL AFC gained bragging rights as they crushed Otley Town 4-0 in West Yorkshire League Division One.

Jamie Algar, Oliver Metcalfe, Harry Norris and Joshua Wagstaff were all on target in the hammering.

Town started strongly in this derby, only a fine save by Andy Dowey at his near post prevented them from taking the lead.

Pool responded well though and went in front going into the interval courtesy of an excellent shot from Algar.

Early in the second half, the goalscorer struck the post before two goals in quick succession, knocked the stuffing out of Town.

The first a well taken chance by Norris, then Wagstaff beat the keeper with an outstanding volley.

Metcalfe was on hand to finish the job when an effort was only partly cleared to give the hosts a deserved resounding victory.

Pool now only sit a point off Otley who will aim to bounce back by championing Salts on Saturday.
