THIS weekend is a busy one for the local Saturday and Sunday teams that are involved in the Bradford FA Saturday Senior Cup, The Sunday Senior Cup, The Sunday Cup, and the Junior U14 Cup.

In the Saturday Senior Cup, Field, who lifted the trophy last season with a 4-3 victory over Calverley United, will start their defence of the trophy tomorrow with a Round Two trip to Yorkshire Amateur League Division Two outfit Prospect FC, who play at Idle CC.

Calverley will entertain Salts at Victoria Park. Wibsey, who were the winners in 2018, will visit Hunsworth and Grangefield, who disposed of Tyersal in Round One, will visit Field Reserves at Hollingwood Lane.

The following day, Sunday Senior Cup holders West Bowling, who beat Fairweather Green WMC 10-3 in September, will be watching the second-round tie between Heaton Athletic and Olympic, to see who they meet in Round Three.

Westwood Park, who were the beaten finalists last season, take a trip to Salts and Wrose Bull will entertain their local rivals Shipley Town.

The other two ties see Bradford Moor take on Prospect (Sunday) and Peacock Bar at home to FC Dog & Gun.

With five Round Two and three Round Three ties of the Sunday Cup being played, FC Mill Lane, who trounced Lincoln Barbers 7-2 in Round One, and remain unbeaten in Division One of the Bradford Sunday Alliance, will be hoping to avoid a banana skin.

They visit Salts Under 18s, who play in the Craven Sunday League.

With the Bradford & Wharfedale U14 Junior Cup now in its third season, it has had an increase in the number of teams wanting to play in the competition.

As well as junior teams from the Bradford and Wharfedale area, teams new to the tournament include Barnoldswick Town, Otley, Pool, Ilkley and Centurion’s U14s.
