GUISELEY’S Airecentre Pacers have been competing in races across Yorkshire and beyond.

On September 14, three strong Pacer runners entered the Meanwood Valley trail race. Owain Gwilym came 41st overall in 53.39, followed by Paul Grindley in 1.01.54, good for fourth in his age category. Sally Haigh finished in 1:04:37, and was second in her age category.

In the Vale of York Half Marathon, the first Pacer to the finish line was Andrew Smith, coming in 16th in his age category in a time of 1.22.52. He was followed by Adrian Williams (1.58.15), Louise Kirwin (2.17.04), Clare Ford (2.17.05), Natalie Clarkson (2.36.36) and Anne Proctor (2.36.53), who ran in her first ever half marathon.

In Ilkley, Amanda Connolly took part in the Ilkley Triathlon, where she came 28th in her age category in a time of 1.29:46.

Flying the Pacer flag in Bishop Monkton, Pacer runners Emma Sebright-Pickard and Jen Sebright-Pickard competed in the Beck Buster 10km race, crossing the line in 54.23 and 56.42, respectively.

Isobel Hainsworth-Brear braved the heat to participate in the Club La Santa Half Marathon in Lanzarote, finishing in 2.04.00.

Debbie Bland built on a fantastic summer by coming first in her age category at Sutton Park 10km race in 51:20.

Helen Alcock achieved a time of 53.35 in the Stafford 10km, coming 23rd in her age category, and Nick Leathley ran the scenic Dalby Forest Marathon, finishing in a time of 6.25.16.
