ILKLEY Cycling Club's Ben Houlihan travelled to Ireland and fought to fourth place finish in a good quality field in a testing 60km race.
Closer to home in the Alba Rosa races at the Brownlee Circuit, Seb Cliffe came sixth in the under-16 race and Joe Turnbull seventh in the under-14 race.
Cliffe switched codes for the weekend to gain another under-16 sixth in the Crank It Mountain Bike race at the Leeds Urban Bike Park.
Over the Lancashire border at Colne, Tom Garnett scored more licence points with seventh place in the Elite/1/2/3 category race in this week's CDPP series event.
Consistent Michael Strange was ninth in the 3/4 category race.
Doug Hart and Jake Unsworth embarked on their first tandem record establishing event last weekend.
In unfavourable weather conditions, they recorded a speedy five hours, 55 minutes and eight seconds for the 142-mile circuit of the Yorkshire Dales.
Now they must wait to see if any other pairings are brave enough to attempt to challenge this, which is quite unlikely as it is quite an impressive achievement.
In time trialling, Ilkley’s riders tried hard but didn’t manage to challenge for the top of the results board.
On a rainy evening in the West Pennine 25-mile event near Clitheroe, Ged Millward was 12th with 59.05 and Jamie Kirk 28th with 1:02.56.
In the Yorkshire RC 25-mile time trial at Boroughbridge, Millward was 14th with 1:00.52 and Liam Rees 32nd with 1:07.51.
