THE Wharfedale and District FA’s two cup finals will take place at Nethermoor Park, the home of Guiseley AFC, this Sunday.
The Wharfedale FA Challenge Cup will be contested between West Yorkshire League sides Pool AFC, the cup holders, and Ilkley Town AFC.
Sponsored by Resource Print Solutions, the final will kick-off at 11am.
Both teams have won this prestigious trophy, a replica of the original FA Cup and made by the same company Fattorini, on three previous occasions.
The competition started in 1906 and last season Pool defeated their neighbours Otley Town in the final.
This final will be followed in the afternoon by the Wharfedale and District FA Sunday Cup final, which is sponsored by Wm Machell & Sons.
This game will be fought out between Ilkley Town Veterans and Yeadon side Ventus United and will kick-off at 3pm.
Ventus United have won this cup on five previous occasions, including the inaugural final of this competition in 1969.
Ilkley Town Veterans have reached this cup final for the first time.
If necessary, there will be extra-time and penalties in both finals.
