AIRECENTRE Pacers’ Debbie Bland did the double over the past fortnight, competing in two tough events on consecutive weekends.

On March 24, Bland ran in the Malaga Half Marathon, coming first in the women’s 65 and over category in a fantastic time of one hour, 55 minutes and 57 seconds.

Fellow Pacer Margaret Britton finished only five minutes behind her, in an excellent time of two hours and 17 seconds.

The half marathon course followed a scenic route that had been freshly planned for 2019 and included a long stretch along the beautiful Malaga coastline.

The same weekend saw Ruth Murphy compete in the Grim Up North Canal Canter 10km, achieving a finish time of one hour, one minute and 37 seconds.

Last Saturday was the Coniston 14 Mile race, which followed a route circling spectacular Coniston Water.

Pacers Nick Leathley (1:53:35) and Debbie Bland (1:58:28) raced, coming just minutes apart.

At last Saturday’s Parkrun in Lister Park, Bradford, Pacers' Kate MacFarlane was second woman in and 20th overall.

MacFarlane ran a personal best, making it to the finish line in an impressively quick time of 21 minutes and 41 seconds.

Other club runners also raced, including Chris Larkins (22:30), Sally Haigh (25:37), Andy Gledhill (27:38), Amy Llewellyn (30:15) and Jo Larkins (42:41).
