AIRECENTRE Pacers' pair Sarah Podesta and Louise Holloway both completed Sunday's Temple Newsam Ten mile course in 1 hour 35 minutes.

On the same day, Jody Hill completed the York Brass Monkey half marathon in 2.29.

At the Cross Country PECO league at West Park North Leeds, Andrew Humphries (32.38) led home the Pacers' men’s team, while Sally Haigh lead home the women’s team in 40.34.

To complement the work of the Litter Free Guiseley Campaign, the Pacers have taken up the craze of Plogging, a combination of jogging with picking up litter.

It started as an organised activity in Sweden (which is where the name "plocka upp" comes from) and spread to other countries in 2018, following increased concerns about plastic pollution.

As a workout, it provides variation in body movements by adding bending, squatting and stretching to the main action of running, hiking, or walking.

The Airecentre Pacers' Plogging events are organised by Richard Walker with a 7.30am start on Sundays.
