A DIVISION leaders Leeds Sikh have suffered their first defeat of the season.

Improving Halifax Direct only made a modest 120 (Harcharan Seehra 5-37) at the Karmand Centre but Sikh were bowled out for only 78 (Hassan Patel 4-30, Ansar Mehmood 3-12).

There was a thriller at High Royds, where hosts Crompark made 212-8 (Malik T Khan 56), but once again Woodhouse scrambled home by one wicket, making 213-9 (Zia Butt 43, Asim Alam 42).

New Wortley continued their Jekyll and Hyde season when they were bowled out for 95 (Mark Wilson 4-36) after Cookridge had scored 147 at the Roundhay Oval.

At Meanwood Road, Savile Stars made a creditable 236-9 (Shahid Rafique 50) but Irfan Sadiq carried his bat for 102 to help Bradford Moor to 240-5 and victory.

At the Scott Hall Oval, Drighlington made 161 before Muhammad Naveed scored 71 not out to help Leeds Caribbean to 163-3.

B Division leaders Thornbury B were 135-3 at Daleside Road when their game with Muff Field was abandoned after an incident at Daleside Road.

Mayfield took advantage to go top when, after bowling out Adel for 119 (Mohammed Faisal 4-26), they replied with 120-6 at Church Lane.

Cookridge moved into a clear third when, after making 183 (Sumit Jain 61, Kyle Fenton 49, Louis Turner 5-46) they bowled out Baildon for 144 (Ashley Free 46), with Fenton taking 5-39 to add to his runs.

Halifax Direct B continued their climb up the table at Gledhow when they bowled out Leeds Sikh B for 58, with Zaib Ali taking the day's best figures of 7-26 and then losing only one wicket in securing victory.

Pudsey St Lawrence also continued their rise at Station Road, scoring 262-9 (Duncan Butler 111) before bowling out Drighlington for 138.

St Chads Broomfield's run came to an end at Fulneck, however, when they were bowled out for 125 (Matthew Humpleby 6-21) after Pudsey Congs had made 193.

One Stop continue to rack up the runs in C Division, scoring 291-7, with Adil Mehmood (93) and Vijayabharathi Maruthamuthu (78) putting on 173 for the fifth wicket and then bowling out Baildon B for 137 (Michael Chester 57, Daniel Grimmitt 40).

At Low Springs, Tong Park Esholt scored 237-9 declared (Jim Law 82, Richard Morton 53, Lee Burke 42, Rob Foggitt 4-52) and then held Cookridge C to 175-9 (Adrian Kilvington 49) in their 47 overs.

At Mayfield Terrace, Morley scored 278 (Joe Bickerdyke 71, Connah Casey 48, Matthew Grayson 41no) and then bowled out Mayfield B for only 63.

Leeds Caribbean B conceded to Shipley Providence.
