HALLFIELD remain on the heels of Salem Athletic in Group A of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League.

The second-placed club beat ten-man Apperley Bridge by nine wickets but looked like they would be chasing a lot less than 177 at one stage.

Bridge, who were 89-6, were indebted to skipper Mohammed Junaid for a steady 54 not out off 82 balls, and he was supported by opener Munir Hussain (37), with Sajid Mehmood taking 3-30.

Hallfield then scored 178-1 in 25.2 overs, with Mohammed Asim (119no) and Murtaza Noor (53no) sharing an unbroken second-wicket partnership of 164.

Salem continued their unbeaten run, defeating Great Horton Church by four wickets.

Church scored 192-6, with Asad Abbas (51no) and Meseum Nisar (40no) sharing an unbeaten seventh-wicket partnership of 91.

Tahir Khan took 4-33 for Salem, who replied with 197-6, contributions coming from Sabir Khan (46no), Muhammed Handaan (42) and Khalil Rehman (38).

Interlink are third, making 200 off 39.1 overs, buoyed by Irfan Jamadar (49), Ebrahim Bismillah (44) and Mohammad Pandor (42), with the latter sharing a stand of 73 for the fifth wicket.

Majid Zia bagged 5-43 for Girlington, who could only score 96 after tea, pegged back by Mohammed Memi (4-25) and Awais Khan (3-21).

Bradford Gymkhana beat Yorkshire Friends by three wickets after the latter made 209-6 (Israr Ali 61) after winning the toss.

Khalid Mahmood (70no) and Shahzad Ahmed (48no) then added 119 unbroken for the eighth wicket in Gymkhana's 212-7 in 36.5 overs, with Umar Zahoor taking 5-50 for Friends.

Bradford Moor defeated Yorkshire LPS by 121 runs after making 178, with skipper Mohammed Amir Majid scoring 42 and Ghazanfer Ali taking 6-32 for LPS.

The latter never looked like reaching their target and were skittled for 57 as Zafar Mahmood (3-10), Abdul Hamid (3-14) and Kabeer Hussain (3.15) got among the wickets.

Meanwhile, Omars gained a winning draw in a high-scoring game against nine-man Cambing.

Omars, who were 59-5, ended up on 316-9 off their 40 overs, with skipper and No 8 Shmail Khan making 102 not out and Guljinder Singh (79) and Qamar Sidiq sharing a sixth-wicket partnership of 132.

Shakeel Arshad bagged 4-73 and Farquan Ahmed 3-41 as Cambing used seven bowlers, and they made a spirited reply of scored 230-7, with Ahmed (52) and Arshad (60) completing fine all-round games.

Bradford Moor remain top of Group B after beating Cambing by 51 runs.

Moor were bowled out for 224 in 39.3 overs, with Nazir Malik making 78 and Majid Ali taking 3-38, while Cambing were dismissed for 173 in 27.5 overs (Yasir Ali 65, Kuldeep Rana 3-25, Muhammad Maan 3-33).

Denholme Cough have moved into second after defeating Allerton by 32 runs.

Clough scored 190, with Mohammed Asif hitting 40 and Sohail Shah bagging 3-12 for Allerton, who were all out for 158, with Mohammed Asif taking 4-36.

Ten-man Greenfield slipped to third after losing to Girlington by five wickets.

Greenfield were dismissed for 173 in just 30 overs, with Ibrar Hussain scoring 40 and Adeil Mir taking 5-42.

Girlington then scored a blistering 176-5 off 17 overs, with Rashad Mahmood unbeaten on 64.

TABS defeated Bowling Baptist by 34 runs after making 145, while Bradford Gymkhana gained a winning draw against Hallfield.

Gymkhana were dismissed for 225 in 38 overs, Mohammed Sarwar scoring 53 and Sohail Butt taking 3-16.

Hallfield then scored 195-8 off 42 overs, with Butt making 55 and Neeloy Datta 40, while Sudagar Hussain returned 4-46.

Meanwhile, Salem Athletic beat Great Horton Church by 66 runs.

Salem scored 204-9 as Sajad Ahmed bagged 5-35, but Church could only total were 138 as Mohammed Sudais took 4-31.

Greenfield remain top of Group C after defeating Allerton by 140 runs.

The victors scored 317-7, with Murtaza Ali (102no) and Yasir Gul (52) sharing a stand of 103 for the sixth wicket. Taha Zamir (4-87) and Usman Riaz (3-47) did best with the ball for Allerton, who were all out for 177 off 35 overs, Shafqat Zaheer taking 5-34.

Bradford Indians stayed second after a winning draw against Yorkshire LPS.

Indians scored 296-6 off 40 overs,with Gurwinder Singh (100no), Kumar Gaurav (68) and Harpartap Singh Dillon (50) making contributions.

LPS then scored 172-9, with Viral Patel making 42.

Bowling Baptists beat Central YMCA by eight wickets after the latter were all out for 119 off 38.2 overs, with Ghazanfar Bashir taking 5-8.

Baptists then scored 120-2 off 27.4 overs, with Riaz Hussain scoring 38.

Meanwhile, West Bowling defeated Great Horton Meths by 88 runs.

Bowling scored 192-2 declared after 37 overs, with Ashley Carter (54no) and Joe A'Herne (40) adding 111 for the second wicket.

Meths were then all out for 104 in 33.3 overs, with Usman Ali Ahmed (4-17) being supported by Anjum Munir (3-16).
