Sherburn White Rose 3 Pool 4
POOL showed great character coming back from 3-1 down to gain their first Premier Division win of the season under floodlights in this midweek match.
James Carrol had headed Pool into an early lead, but two quick goals, one a penalty soon turned this around, followed by a third on the stroke of half-time.
Pool came back well in the second half. Josh Wagstaff scored twice to level the scores, then with only a couple of minutes remaining, Scott Cater headed the winner.
Pool were brought back down to earth on Saturday when they lost 3-1 at Huddersfield Amateur. The only goal came from David Thompson.
