West Yorkshire League Premier Division: Leeds City 0 Pool 3
Pool produced a superb victory against a very strong Leeds City side, who were deserved runners-up last season.
City started the stronger, creating several chances, but were unable to convert, with Tosney in the Pool goal rarely tested.
The visitors took control, their work rate exceptional as they gave Leeds no time on the ball and played some excellent football.
Neil Ebdon's perfect through-ball put Tom Fleming through for the opener.
The second half was virtually all Pool, another fine move putting Nick Hewitt in for the second.
When Matthew Nebard capped his fine performance by firing the third into the net from distance, the points were safe.
This was a sound performance, with Temilada Ajimoko marshalling the strong defence well, restricting City to long-distance efforts.
Pool's match at home to Bardsey on Saturday was postponed as the visitors were unable to raise a side.
Pool Reserves were beaten 3-0 at East End Park Reserves in West Yorkshire Alliance Division One.
Despite playing some encouraging football, they were lacking in front of goal.
